Kisah Nabi Hud As

Nabi Hud merupakan keturunan dari Sam bin Nuh, cucu dari Nabi Nuh As.

Pada zaman tersebut, hiduplah kaum yang bertempat tinggal disebelah utara Hadralmaut dari negri Yaman, yang disebut kau m 'Ad.
Kaum 'Ad merupakan kaum yang kuat. Sayangnya, mereka sangat suka berbuat kerusakan dimuka bumi.
Mereka menyembah patung-patung dan mereka suka merampok harta benda orang lain dan menyiksa tawanan perang. Tetapi, disisi lain mereka adalah kaum yang sangat pandai membuat bangunan yang kuat pada tempat tinggi.
Nabi Hud As. selalu berseru kepada kaumnya untuk selalu menyembah Allah karena tidak ada Tuhan selain Allah. Namun, kaum 'Ad sangat sombong dan mereka tidak mau mendengarkan seruan Nabi Hud. Nabi Hud memberi peringatan kepada mereka bahwa Allah dapat mendatangkan hukuman bila mereka tidak mau bertobat. Nabi Hud As. memberikan peringatan dan contoh tentang kejadian yang menimpa kaum Nabi Nuh yang membangkang. Namun, kaum 'Ad tidak percaya dengan ucapan beliau. "Datangkan saja apa yang engkau janjikan kepada kami, bila engkau memang orang yang benar." Kaum 'Ad menentang Nabi Hud As.
Akhirnya, allah mendatangkan angin kencang selama tujuh malam dan delapan hari terus menerus. Angin kencang itu merubuhkan pohon-pohon dan bangunan yang kokoh.
Allah telah menurunkan azab-Nya dan memusnahkan kaum 'Ad. Sementara itu, orang-orang yang beriman diselamatkan oleh Allah dari malapetaka tersebut.

Sesungguhnya, peringatan dari Allah akan datang. Oleh karena itu, kita harus selalu beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Allah SWT. Aamiin.

Pengertian, Purpose, dan Contoh Narrative Text

                     Narrative text

               *The purpose of a narrative text is to entertain or amuse the readers or the listeners and to teach moral values.  Kalau teksnya bacaan buat readers tapi kalau spoken/ lisan buat listeners.

                                        *The structure of a narrative text:

Orientation : introduces characters and settings (who, when, where)

Complication/ Problem/ Crisis: a problem a rises (masalah mulai muncul)

Resolution : penyelesaian masalah

Coda (optional) : Perubahan yang terjadi pada tokoh atau pelajaran yang dapat dipetik dari cerita tersebut.

Tapi ada yang menyebutkan structurenya itu sampai resolution tapi juga ada yang sampai coda (optional).

Cinderella

     Once upon a time, there lived an unhappy young girl with her stepmother and two step sisters who didn't like her. All the nice things, kind thought and loving touches were for her own daughters. But, for the poor unhappy girl, there was nothing at all. For she had to work hard all day, and only when evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. That is how she got her nickname, for everybody called her Cinderella.

    It was quite true. Cinderella, even dressed in rags with a dusty gray face from the cinders, was a lovely girl. While her stepsisters, no matter how splendid and elegant their clothes, were still clumsy, lumpy, and ugly.

   One day, a ball was to be held by the royal family of the kingdom to find the prince's spouse. Cinderella's stepsisters ordered beautiful new dress for the ball. Cinderella wanted to go to the ball but her stepmother asked her to stay at home.

"You? My dear girl, you're staying at home to wash the dishes, scrub the floor and turn down the beds for your stepsisters. They will come home tired and very sleepy." asked her stepmother.

Cinderella only nodded her head and began to work. Suddenly something amazing happened. In the kitchen, where Cinderella was sitting all by herself, there was a burst of light and a fairy appeared.

"Don't be afraid Cinderella, I know what you feel, my dear. Do you want to go to ball?" asked the fairy.

"Yes, I do. But look! How can I go to the ball with this dress? Cinderella replied.

   Then the fairy turned Cinderella's dress became the most beautiful dress and with beautiful slippers, the loveliest ever seen in the realm. The fairy also turned a pumpkin into a parking coach and turned the mice become six white horses.

 "Now, you can go to the Court and go to the ball. But remember my dear Cinderella, you must leave the ball at midnight and come home. For that is when the spell ends. Your coach will turn back into a pumpkin, the horses will become mice and you will be dressed again in rags with clogs.

At the ballroom, Cinderella amazed everybody there include the prince. When the prince set eyes on Cinderella, he was stuck by her beauty. Walking over to her, he bowed deeply and asked her to dance. Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball. But, all of a sudden, she heard the sound of a clock, the first stroke of midnight.

Remembered what the fairy had said, Cinderella ran back to the coach and went home. But he lost one of her slippers in ballroom. The prince who was now madly in love with her, picked up her slipper and would search for the girl whose foot fitted with the slipper.

    In the next morning, the prince began to search everywhere in the kingdom but no girl whose foot fitted with the slipper. Until he found Cinderella’s house and asked Cinderella's stepsisters to wear the slipper. But none fitted with the slipper. The prince began hopeless.

"Is there any girl else here" Asked the prince.

"Yes, there are. But she is very ugly and I think she is not the girl that you are looking for." replied Cinderella's stepmother.

"Call her here!" Asked the prince.

Then Cinderella's stepmother called Cinderella to come out who was dressed in rags and wore clogs like usual. The prince began to wear the slipper into Cinderella foot, and it was fit.

The prince believed that Cinderella was the girl he met in the ball. Then the prince asked Cinderella to marry him. And at the end, Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after in the kingdom.

Pinocchio And the wicked witch

Once upon a time... In a large pine forest in the country Italy, lonely. He always dreamed about having a child. Every day, he went to cut wood for the city people. One day, an idea illuminated his mind, the idea of crafting a puppet, that he would give the name of Pinocchio. He made the doll and at night, the puppet come to life! One year of happiness and thriller passed, on Sunday morning, Gepetto told Pinocchio: it's my birthday soon, my little boy! I hope you do not forget it! Oh, sure, I'm not! Pinocchio felt awkward.        He did not think about it. Gepettos birthday comes just three days ahead, and he had not prepared a gift. After a long night of reflecting, Pinocchio finally decided to offer a homemade chocolate cake to her as a gift. When the sun rose, Pinocchio was ready to go outside to find the ingredients. The main problem was not even known he was in and the recipe.    So after school, he decided to go ask someone for the ingredients to bake a cake. During his walk, Pinocchio, the wooden puppet, met shamans city. Hey, little boy, do you need help for your chocolate cake? Hum You can help me?, Tanya Pinocchio. Sure, I could. Follow me! After walking a few minutes so, Pinocchio saw big, big, big huge candy house. They entered together and Pinocchio was caught by a large enclosure. Mouahahaha! I was finally able to catch you! You are mine, you will work for me! , Said the evil witch.    Pinocchio was terrified. When the guards came and took him out of the cage, he immediately ran very fast and he managed to escape. At the same time, the evil wizard , summoned all his troops with him, ran after him and he pulled out his wand. Evil devil changed the little wooden puppet into a chocolate cake! When he returned home, he told the whole story to his father and they went to find a fairy god . After a long journey, they finally found the fairy god and they had a magic potion for Pinocchio, Pinocchio to treat the poor.

                                   The Two Ducks and The Fox

    One day, two duck walked a long the road to go to the lake for their swim. In the middle of the road, they met Mr. fox. He sat under the tree.
“Hello, sister. Where are you going?”, asked Mr. fox.
“Good morning, Mr. fox, we are going to lake over there. We want to swim. Would you like to join us?” , asked the ducks.
“No thanks, do you both come a long here every day?” asked Mr. fox.
“Yes, we always walk here every morning.” Said the ducks.
“Delicious..s I mean nice to see you both,” said Mr. fox.
   The next day, the first duck said “are we going to swim today? I bet that Mr. fox is waiting for us and he has a bad plain.
“I know, I have a plan for him too.” Said the second duck.
     One their way they met Mr. fox again.
“Hello sisters, going to swim again?” asked Mr. fox.
“Yes, we are, why don’t you take us to the lake and protect us from bad animals?” said the second duck.
“Of course, it’s my pleasure,” replied Mr. fox.
“This is an easy way to have a free lunch. I have a big bag with me now,” though Mr. fox.
   Three of them walked to the lake and sang some songs.
“When I say run, let’s run fast together.” Said the second duck. “run!!!”
They ran so fast and jumped into the lake. Mr. fox jumped upon them, but he forgot that he could not swim. So, Mr. fox drowned in the lake. He failed to get his free lunch.
